Significance: Farmers suicide rate is increasing due to failure of monsoon, of agriculture, increasing rate of essential commodities. An integrated long term strategy is needed for revival of Indian agriculture and reduce the incedences of suicide. The strategy shall include provision of irrigation, agriculture inputs, dryland agriculture, watershade development, institutionalised credit.
